Pierre Dumas 260 Posted July 13, 2008 Everything OK except the white dust dots and the white scratch line on the upper part! And I think I also see the grain. I don't know how good is your scanner Meir, but mine was one with great declared characteristics but it always shows grain which is impossible to be so large! The best scans I got from slides Agfachrome ISO 100, but even on them there's a huge grain. I don't know what to think?! PDE Link to comment

myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted July 13, 2008 I did not notice the scratch mark. You spoil my day. I am not good with spot tone. The dust spots I did not look for either. Why grain? Do not know. I did use sharpening Link to comment

dberryhill 3 Posted July 15, 2008 A fascinating place. And I suspect there is a fascinating story behind it. The scratch and spot are easily fixable. And there is grain, but for me it doesn't at all detract. A fine capture. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted July 15, 2008 I made a print as a gift and did not notice grain or even the scratch. I do not know from where comes the grain. I did not sharpen (never do). Yes the story is interesting. I learned of it in school. Link to comment
