Ahhh, just like being there! Beautiful detail, a very expressive sky, and depth that just keeps going... Love it! Mike

you have seen this scene.

Foreground is interesting, and there are many interesting other things.

Light is great.

So nice flowers in the FG, and I in particular like the shape of the clouds giving the image dynamism. Very nice composition

Thanks to all for your comments. I felt that this would be well recieved primarily for the flow of the clouds and the range of colors. This is my first posting since the new layout of P.N. and I am disappointed that they removed the "Larger" button. Did anyone see that coming? That was one of my favorite features of P.N. because I could become connected so much better with all of the images displayed by the various artists. I as much enjoyed the ability to display my images in a larger res version. How do we get that back?

It's not explained, but you'll note your cursor turns to a "hand" over the images that will enlarge. Click again to make smaller.... :-) Old dogs and new tricks.... Mike

Well thats not really a new trick, but I feel like an Old Dog for not knowing that. As for you Mike, your a friendly Dog for making me aware! "Click to Enlarge" doesn't take up very much screen space or server space for that matter. I guess I will include that with my titles, I was always insisting "view Larger" before, even though it was in plain sight. I should have more trust in human nature I guess.

This is an eye grabber that doesn't let go. The feeling of great depth makes me feel like that indeed a storm is coming and I am in a beautiful but isolated space. Home and safety is far away. This picture earns all the sevens it should get.

This picture has a great sense of depth. Foreground is carefully composed, and the sky is just perfect.

Restfull & relaxing, love images that invoke an emotional response & your capture does it in spades. Can imagine sitting on a rock in front of the pretty flowers & pondering what is it that creates a feeling of contentment in watching the sun slowly fall to the horizon, perhaps one thinks," Well, made it thru another day & another opportunity to watch nature at it's finest". Anyway, Mark,a super image perfectly suited for inclusion in a Healing Art portfolio.Cheers-Ross

Thanks Ed, Boeboe, Tony, Beng and Ross for the kind observances. This was the first of many clicks on this evening, and as the sun set, the sweeping clouds and sky provided a visual treat. This is overlooking Bakersfield and in the distance about 30 miles or so is my house, where my wife and daughter and father in law are having dinner with no clue of what they are about to miss. They are no worse off, but I'm sure I am better off for being present. The ensuing sunset was perhaps my best in a lifetime of sunsets.

Love the open feeling here. Can see off in the distance many many miles. And the FG and sky hold my attention very well. Nice work!

Beautiful composition, and I think you have the perfect amount of light on the foreground (not too light, not too dark). Very nicely done.
