This photo is good in it's idea and composition. It is a little rough on the eyes because there are only little patches of the flower that are in sharp focus. I feel like it's ok to have most of a photo out of focus, but generally when you do you need an area of sharp focus for the viewers eyes to "rest" on.

Thanks for your comments, Adam, they're much appreciated. I agree there are very few areas in sharp focus. I was going for a sort of a dreamy, soft-focus look but perhaps I'm stuck somewhere in between.
