Great shot Jeff. Wonderful..well...everything. Perfect DOF. Her pose and position in the frame are just right. The connectedness between her arm and tilt with the vanishing point of the track make this very interesting visually. And the toning sets the whole picture off beautifully. Nice use of light too. Congrats!

Thanks again Tiffany, I must admit that I sorta like how this turned out....just one problem though...my baby is growing up way to fast.

Funny how the perspective and tracks add to the photo. Your daughter is obviously young but has a grownups expression.

Very nice work. It feels like a scene out of a movie. The perspective is interesting and focuses on her,but also lets your eyes travel down the tracks to her future or maybe where she has already traveled.

Great shot. I love that she has on jewelry as well as tennis shoes. Really great shot!

Thanks Janis...I haven't posted this one yet but it seems to have generated a positive response...this is one of my favorites of my daughter...it makes me sad though to see her growing up so fast.

Beautiful shot. The girl forms a V with the V in the tracks and the V in the sky. Nice composition. I also think that the tone is very appropriate and lovely.

I came by to thank you for commenting on and rating my photos and to check out your portfolio and this image really stood out. Beyond all the technical and compositional qualities (which are very good!) it is also very emotionally compelling. To me, you've done a great job at symbolizing those awkward "tween" years when you're still a child but want desperately to be an adult. Her posture seems very grown up but the way she's looking off to the side says she's not quite certain. And, train tracks have always symbolized a journey but you've chosen a very shallow DOF which makes the destination hard to see. Wonderful image!

I like this shoot, the deeplinge from the track is great, the toen and greasale works fine, and she have an dreaming expression like she try to look in to the future.

Great work

excellent composition, sepia colors is a good choice, I like the line of the rails, emphasizing very well the figure of the nice young girl. very good job!

Astonishingly good. I just love your daughter's pose and expression. Excellent framing and composition, too. Plus I love what she's wearing - she has a very cool dress sense.

Most charming this is. I'm sure it will be an image she is proud to have when she is older. Bravo!

the thumbnail of this picture immediately attracted my eye and once opened large the shot is even better! The rail symbolizing life shows she still has a long way to go and her attitude with a foot on the rail shows good self-confidence and symbolises her willingness to live life to the fullest; her facial expression looking out of the frame also shows that she's in thoughts: she's physically here for the picture but her mind is already forward-looking. Great shot! Kind regards, Jan
