Hi Birte,

As with all your photo's, this is excellent camera work. Your comments for this shot on the other hand suggests that you may have been behind the camera lens too long?

So many photographers seem to end up with tunnel vision after they have perfected their art.......maybe they loose touch with the real world after endless manipulation of the vision they first shot in programs such as photoshop etc?

As with the elephants in Kenya, without a cull kangaroo's would be in plague proportions in this country and you wouldn't find space to take your photographs. Sure they are beautiful but they are tasty too?

Perhaps we should try culling the human race, there are far too many of them, and their greed is wrecking our natural world.Tasty???No the are killed mainly for the leather trade, human consumption and pet food are just the by product of the leather, which is imported mainly by the USA and Italy for high end sports shoes. If you are an Aussie you are totally misguided and misled .The fact is there are not too many of them, and if it continues the way its going there will be none left.

Birte,

You miss the point......don't use false pictures to get your opinion across....you are too good of a photographer for that! Post a photo of a kangaroo slaughter and I would agree the comment you posted with this one would be appropriate.

I am an avid bushwalker, photographer ( Canon 400D ) and naturalist artist (I paint) and I browse photo net every single day to see what is happening in the world of photography.

What I see is a world of beauty out there but so few photographers are able to capture it without processing the heck out of it to turn what they have shot into something it is not in photoshop etc.

To me, photography is an art form just like my painting but then it is more......it's the means to tell it how it really is without all the falseness of vetting and processing in an effort to gain the highest profit. Such as the debate on the current global warming issue!

Global warming is a reality, but the number of people that won't buy the fact that it is also a natural cyclic event and not all man induced is amazing.

Oh by the way......in case you hadn't noticed.......the culling of unwanted humans has been going on since time begun...currently it's places like Iraq and Afghanastan etc.

And lastly....if my first posted comment offended you....I am truly sorry....that was not my intention. A photographer of your calibre need not post your opinions with pictures like this one......post the picture instead and I will be most impressed!

respect and regards,

steve

Steve, Are you a jager who thinks hes a photographer?

That would be too much misunderstanding of self. What should i do if i ever get your point!!!? Is'nt it good for you that people keep missing your point?

Personally, i wouldnt like to see a slaughtered Kangaroo. Now that I know the story I wont purchase Nike, Reebok and Addidas shoes and inform others as well about these companies.
