Unfortunately, you hit the nail right on the head. How typically American. Right down to the vandalism. Typical indeed.......

Thanks for the laugh. I needed that this morning. With that and the coffee, I think I'm going to get functional. Really!

getting behind a good idea is one thing... finding that good idea to get behind is another.

A wonderful capture dear boss man. I kind of like how the graffiti on the bottom kind of looks like the words "NO END"

LOL

See ya in the funnies.

Thanks my radioactive friend. I had not thought to make "no end" out of the graffiti. Only you would come up with that. And thanks for looking and commenting.

"God is dead, Marx is dead...and i'm not feeling too well, myself" this phrase has been repeated overtimes and it's a very good one. The problem is that it seems that it is not only a very good joke but also true for a vast number of people. Besides the fact that I'm not feeling very well, but I'm not blaming God or Marx and that I am not willing to have them around again, most of the people that are not feeling well seem really to need them back (or at least that's what they think).

"Bringing our city/world back to God" it's an "hell" of a task to accomplish, and I think they need much more then a bus to do that. Can anyone tell this guys that there is guy in the White House (I can't remember his name) that tried that recently and it was a big mess. Thousand and thousands of years ago and every year after that, there have been important guys "with a vision, or a mission, etc." that tried to reach the very same goal and failed. People never learn...

David: Another great image for the book you deserve to publish (if you find a publisher willing to do it, that's another question.)

Thanks so much. I'm not sure I deserve that much praise, but rest assured I basked in it, anyway. :) As a youngster, growing up in the Midwestern United States, I felt and saw no close connection between God and state. I thought that was the way it was supposed to be. And after learning of many nations that had tried theocracy and failed, I never thought that would be an issue. Little did I know what was down the road. Now a person has to pass a religious test to be elected. Now one must wear their religion on their sleeve to gain acceptance. Now one must go to mass rallies of mesmerized zombies that are in need of being taught that they need to be "good." Hell, many of us learned that a long time ago. Well, it's pretty obvious that I can go on a long time on this subject, but I'll stop boring those who read this and let it go. It shall remain a major theme in my work however.

Great shot. Although your more extreme pp treatments have actually opened my mind up a bit and only a bit since I do not want what little is in there spilling out, my heart will always go out to a well composed and exposed image and that is what I see here. I love your B&W work on this one.

Th taggers and the god mongers are all pissing on hydrants and staking turf. All such nonsense is based on the church of " us vs them" and as such it is all primitive and regressive... and that's my sermon for the day.

You really should look into getting some of these published as a book. I for one, would buy it and put it on the self.

Amen, and thanks for the sermon. Of course with me you are preaching to the choir. Interesting to compare the taggers and the preachers. The one tries to convince us of a brighter future. The other that there is no future. While I disagree with both, I'm not sure which group repulses me more. One thing for sure is that they both don't offer much as far as I'm concerned.

As for that book, I'm not sure you would look good wearing it around town. Perhaps after a brief perusal, it would best be placed on the shelf. Oh, I know, the whole world hates a smartass. I plead no contest.

Oh I don't know, if I put it on and strutted up and down the main street of my sleepy little town it might just become all the rage. Before long everyone would be wanting one.

I can see plenty of similarity between gangs ( assuming the tags are gang related ) and churches. They both want to proclaim, they are always looking for recruits, if you're not with them then surely you are against them and all of them peddle garbage. Apparently I had one more sermon in me for the day.

Keep 'em coming! I love your impassioned anger and I'm right there as the deacon in your church. If that book ever gets done, I guess I'd be greatly appreciative that you would parade it up and down the streets. Might help sales, depending on your reputation.

well you know god is beyond that...I enjoy this serie of Christian adds sentence you created..."bringing the city back to god" really seams like a commercial to me...I am not anti- nor proselytist myself, just a regular/average european not so religious...and those sentences feel really exotic to me...real nice David...

My fervent hope is that you European types can prevail. In the U.S. now the evangelists and nutcases are taking over. I honestly believe they will overpower the government within twenty years. They desire theocracy as much as any ayatollah. Sorry to rant, but it's a subject I feel very strongly about. BTW I just finished a book by Richard Dawkins called, "The God Delusion." It's an outstanding piece of reasoning that I highly recommend. But it's not everybody's cup of tea.
