Lately I started taking alternative routes for my daily driving and this is a

new route that is going to give me quite a few shots.

I am sure I know this old tunnel...is it around the San Fernando Valley area...maybe Newhall, Sylmar? It's an old alternative route and I think I used to go through here as a child or teenager once in awhile.

Trisha thanks for your comment. Your are pretty close to where this image was taken. That is Soledad Canyon RD (it runs alongside the 14th Fwy) this tunel is north of Sand Canyon Rd.

Do you live in L.A area?

Thank you for answering and confirming my thoughts; I am sure I have traveled through there several times but I was much younger. No, I no longer live in the L.A. area. I grew up right near the Ronald Reagan Library and before all the freeways were put in the alternative routes in and out of that area were many canyon and hilly roads...I know I have been on that particular one even after the freeways because of rush hour traffic (sometimes one just doesn't feel like spending two hours on the freeway to make a simple 30 minute commute)!
