This would be better without the pasted-in moon. For one thing, the scene does not need it. For another, the lighting on the moon is wrong. In its position that you have it depicted it would be back lit by the sun Of course, it could be illuminated by the reflected light of the earth (earthshine) but I do not think it would be as bright as it is, nor would it be waning at its south pole. It looks wrong.

As Walter noted, the moon is a very obvious fake (the size and location in the scene gives it away). Otherwise it's a pretty nice shot.

Not a real moon though and not the real color! I think you may switch the color to bluish a bit! I presume it will look then more persuasive!

Pierre, it is not the color of the moon that is the problem. It is physically impossible for the moon to be visible as depicted when it is in this position relative to the sun. It is also impossible for the moon to be illuminated from what appears to be the direction of its north pole when it is, again, in this position relative to the sun. I do not have a problem with the artist compositing an image with the moon, but it is almost insulting to be expected to believe this one. Regards.
