chrisvest 1 Posted July 7, 2008 amusing piece that could be straight from the storyboard of the next pixar animated movie. pretty impressive detail in the musculature of the models-- i thought at first it was a troupe of actors in manequin garb. the girl is caught in the perfect spot, and the scene is splendidly circumscribed into the four plains of interest: foreground, the palpable barrier of the fence, the bike rider, and the aptly constrained background. remarkably well executed and thoughtful picture. bravo! mark_q 0 Posted July 9, 2008 "comments welcome if you still put a dollar under your pillow when you lose a tooth"Thanks for making my day with your words and this unbelievable gem. A photo one could kill for. I wonder whenever my heart could have handled that excitement you must have experienced when discovering this scene out there. Simply perfect moment captured, and the blue on her and her bicycle are icing of the cake. Looking more at the details I'm delighted how the foot points to her shoulder and how her arm bridges to the hand. I could go on... Bravo! Link to comment

garry_young1 1 Posted July 11, 2008 Very creative! And no, it's a lot more than a dollar nowadays! The tooth fairy has extravagant fuel needs travelling all these miles it seems. Link to comment

janc 0 Posted July 18, 2008 Hi Tim! It is very nice when finding a shot like this one. I do not know if those dummys where there and you found them like that or you prepared the scene, in both cases it it a brilliante shot. Congratulations. Best regards. Link to comment
tholte 16,644 Posted July 18, 2008 Janis, yes! Jose, the manikins were being sold at a flea market. I stopped and asked if I could shoot them. I did not move or re-arrange them. Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted July 18, 2008 $2!!! Janis, you are making a bad name for the tooth fairy at my house. my kids only get $1. luckily my youngest just learned the truth that her dad has been the tooth fairy at our house all these years. Tim, great find! i have always wanted a mannequin. did you buy one? i like the one who is upside down....she almost seems to be trying to pedal her own invisible bicycle. Link to comment
tholte 16,644 Posted July 18, 2008 Linda, they were $200 each so I had to pass. The woman that was selling them was getting corked, I was the tenth photographer that stopped by to shoot, not to buy. Link to comment
