Besides being a great composition well realized and executed, it has the ultimate McCracken Tilt. Great skin tones and brilliant use of contrast. the tonal separation of her right hand from her right shoulder is spot on.

Pierre, I am not sure I fully understand you but you are right. The idea to pose with shoes was the model's idea.

There was a comment from Steve (I think.) I am not sure why you deleted your comment. Your observation was very valid. The girl wanted the photograph and wasn't too bothered about what might have been on her shoe.

Very interesting concept, it just goes to show that you can photograph anything & when the composition is very good just like this, anything can be interesting.

i will agree with another comment on this page that you have the B/W tones pretty much spot on, although i think i would have made the back round a shade darker.

what i am finding loking through yr wonderful portfolio, is that you can make almost any image very interesting to look at.

what i would like to learn for you is how you manage to do it, is it the great comps? the subject matter? or just pretty much that you have a great imaganation & a very good editor?

I really can't tell you how I make every image interesting. In truth, I would think that not everyone agrees with you. I just like to take photos and like to take many different subjects.

I would agree with you about the background. Sometimes I do darken it. Other times I do not.
