I think if she had a more relaxed pose and a smile on her beautiful face, it would be better, (I dont like the bones , sorry) , best regards //Salvador

Poofy hair is a cultural thing., imho. In this case, I don't think that is doing her any favours. It's a pretty guarded stare that she is wearing. Perhaps a hint of a smile would help?

Jeff, looky here. I uploaded a corrected version using my hint plug in, but it hasn't cleared the photonet server, or whatever.

Hmmm, I think that at the monument my photography is suffering from SAD.

Its gloomy and cold down here today. Plenty of snow on the mountains, but snow can be overrated at the best of times.

That's SAD indeed. I think that I have it made these days with a place near the beach and one in the mountains, the best of both worlds. Snow can be a bugger, I agree.

Nice shot, and looks a bit like a high school yearbook. Definitely 80's. A style you like or not. I Do.

Thanks PDE,

Christophe, it's an old image, something like 1992, so your comment is right on the money. I thought the hair was more or less undated, but I guess the poof in the front is an artifact from the 80's and early 90's, isn't it.

I agree with Jeff that the hair style doesn't help - too much of a forehead. And I agree very much that the stare is just too stiff and too empty. It's technically absolutely clean - except for the lack of a black point and lack of contrast on my own monitor ? -, but it really doesn't do much in terms of getting acquainted to her personnality. Cold, very cold, and too cold for me to like it. Lastly, and for what it's worth, with a jaw and a chin like this, I'd take about any angle and any head position except this one. This straight on face view is already setting you up for the most rigid outcome. Just the way I see it, sorry. Cheers.

Lovely portrait...I like the B&W conversion here....also I think the low contrast and low ratio lighting are effective...wonderful demur expression and amazingly pearcing eyes. Nice job.
