This photo gives a very nice sense of depth and movement, excellent capture. I wonder if the photo would be even better with a little less sky, and no clouds. Cheers!

I thought of cloning the bit of clouds near the top edge and leave the center clouds as accent. But, I decided to just leave the photo unmanipulated. Thanks for your thoughts and I appreciate your comments. - Lester

Thanks too, Christoph - Lester

Thanks for your interest in the image. These technical aspects may help answer your question. f22, 1/8sec., ISO 100, 12-24mm@12mm, steady tripod and circular polarizer. Hold the tripod as it digs into the sand as wave recedes back into the sea. The slower shutter speed produced the water streaks in the foreground with the lens about 1 foot to the ground (Be careful not to get your lens swept by the wave!). - Lester

Great motion to the image- and I think a nice sense of pacing to it - the rushing water carries you out to the crashing surf, and then your eye is drawn to the quiet and motionless clouds in the sky - you just get sucked out by the sea- for this reason I would leave the clouds in the image - great photo-
