I think it would be pretty easy to accidentally burn out the hilights on this one - you've done a great job of getting the tones just right. The lost contrast on the main tree caused by the fog helps to give a better sense of how large the tree is. The horizon line of the distant trees is tilted a bit, but I think if you had straightened your shot to make it horizontal, then the main tree would have appeared to be leaning too far to the left. As it is, there's a very nice balance to the geometry of the shot. Very well done!

Such a wonderful winterland. The fence is very effective in the foreground, but I would have preferred no tree to the left. Still lovely photo.

wonderful this frozen landscape, with these lights and fog, nice composition.

Wonderful tree. The tree sticking in from the left is disturbing. You would have had an even better photo, had you isolated the main motif.
