The old B/W times

Pontikonisi, the very small island closed to Kerkyra-Corfu. I was there about 8 years ago and my hotel was just 300 meters from this place (Sheraton Hotel at the top of the hill). The weather was horrible - it was October - but I enjoyed a lot my stay in this island, the capital city is magic, very dense city - in terms of buildings and people-, the old fortresses are also very impressive. And the airport in the island is also something to understand: you know the planes arrived just touching the trees in Pontikonissi; and the road !!!!!! - at the end of airport - needs to be closed during landing for security reasons !!!!!!!!!! That´s Greece and that is why is a magic country to enjoy each minute. Your image in BN is beautiful and very inspiring. Is that you in the image ????????. See you. Josemi Gondra.

Yes, it's me in this photo, 49 years ago...!!Your description of Corfu, my father's land, is very vivid and real. You have touched the deeper sense of the greeks, reflecting to this island ! Live and enjoy life !
