pmj 6 Posted May 12, 2002 First-time visits to big cities, such as Barcelona, always bring the danger of taking very standard images: showing the famous buildings, fountains and statues. With this image, I tried to get something different. As the light was getting harsh, I decided to go for a little abstract with a big hotel and a traffic light. Normally I don't really like things "poking" into the frame, but here I believe it may work. What do you think? Link to comment
james e. petts 0 Posted May 19, 2002 Very striking image, could perhaps do with a shade more saturation. Link to comment
mmurphy 0 Posted May 19, 2002 I like the shot except for the clock - it makes the image a little too busy for my taste. The angle you shot it with is quite cool though - I would crop it above the clock though. Link to comment
bbrooks 0 Posted September 23, 2005 I quite like the clock and think it makes the image. I see a story about time waiting at traffic lights. If anything, all of the subject matter is confined to the left portion of the image but I imagine it was hard enough to frame this in the viewfinder as it is. Then again the building filling the frame on the right helps keep the viewers eye in the photograph. Link to comment
