awaraagard 0 Posted July 2, 2008 stone is immortal, and i reckon man chose the right medium to chisel images of God and his messangers. devotion finds its finest expressions even in stone! i witnessed school going boys working on Buddha sculpture along with master craftsmen in Taxila. they were carving out timeless masterpieces out of rocks that waited so long for a shape and a name. ancient carvers/ sculptors immortalized Buddha in stone. it is nothing less than Michaelangelo and Rodin. regards!
