regis 0 Posted June 30, 2008 Hi Richard Fantastic light you've managed to capture here. I like your composition too. Very dramatic weather conditions makes this shot unusual. When it comes to the technical side - it looks a bit soft to my taste and blacks are a bit washed-out (on my screen). It's quite common with HDR-technique (which I pressume is what you've done here). My advice it either to do some local touch-up's with dodge & burn tool or use some original layer and mask some regions for a better contrast. Finally you can copy one layer, switch blending mode to multiply (using low opacity value) and beef up some shadows for a better final effect. All in all - these are just some cosmetic changes. Beside that - lovely scene Richard. Cheers Piotr Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted July 4, 2008 Rich, This one is better than the other one, has nice details on the rocks, but IMO needs more contrast and maybe levels adjustment. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted July 4, 2008 I prefer this darker version that highlight the magical light rays better. Link to comment
J. Perez 0 Posted July 4, 2008 Hi Rich. I definitely prefer this darker version also. You might try to increase the midtone contrast just a tad and that will clinch it. Well done! Cheers, J Link to comment
