Thank you, Mary, Richard, Monte and El! This is exciting stuff and you are very correct, Monte, that I need some better glass for birds! The 18-200 VR Nikkor is a nice lens for general use but it has it's limitations. I have been researching the longer zooms and I will probably have to do some realistic compromising because of price. I've seen some nice shots with the new Sigma 150-500 optically stabilized zoom. If you have any thoughts, I'd love to hear them!
