jeffsoo 0 Posted June 28, 2008 Just a plain quiet landscape but so interesting because of the bright colors, artfully arranged; an overall lively "rhythm" created by the gently curving road and hills, patterns of the fenceposts and widely spaced trees (and their branches) and well-defined clouds; and that fascinating tree on the right. Such a characteristically Australian scene. Link to comment

peter_daalder 0 Posted June 28, 2008 Thanks Rejith, Jeff and Michael...It is a typical Australian scene indeed, though I can not explain the association with the link to the legendary artist above.Perhaps it is a case of "Everyone I know goes away - in the end".Anyone who is not moved by this song, has a heart of stone... jeff.grant 0 Posted July 1, 2008 Classic Oz, with Roaring Forties clouds as usual. For the calendar, I assume? Link to comment
blue-olympus 0 Posted July 18, 2008 A visually stunning shot, well composed and balanced..it's just a shame that the road turns to the left thus taking your eye away, slightly, from the main theme. Great photography Mate! Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted July 19, 2008 Heh, Keith... You're right... I lodged a planning appeal with the Northern Midlands Council, in order to get this road diverted to the right, but you know how it is with the bureaucratic process... In the mean time, perhaps I can apply a liquify filter and fix it that way.Jeff, yes this one was short listed for Tasmanian Tracks 2009, but got left out at the eleventh hour. Thanks everyone else for your viewings and comments! danieljohansson 0 Posted July 20, 2008 A delightful photograph with very nicely balanced colours and dynamic range. The only thing that disturbs me a bit is the sharpness on the trees that looks a bit too much; it might be a defect from resizing though... Link to comment
markboyer 0 Posted August 9, 2008 Beuatifully done shot. The perspective angle is as well done as I've ever seen. Link to comment
iason_faennos 0 Posted November 9, 2008 I have seen thousands (if not millions) photos of roads... but in this one the road is incorporated in the landscape in a thrilling way. It makes you want to travel it. Exellent composition, among the other pros of this picture, and if someday i come to this place this photo will have contributed... Link to comment
