A very creative amalgam of creepiness. The brittle moon, the scratchy branches, the lurking raven. Nevermore. Nevermore.

Doug, thanks. That's what I was aiming for, I was afraid it was a bit too pretty.

Linda, thank you for looking and commenting.

Jeff, you can't think of a raven without Poe coming to mind can you? I love them, they are so intellegent, and crafty. Did you know they will make and use tools if they have to?

All the best!

Linda

A nice idea and nice work in presenting it. But you are correct in that it is too pretty to be associated with Poe. If the raven's beak were opened with the head extended forwards, and the feathers a bit ruffled then it would work a bit better.

Thanks! We are up to our ears in ravens around here. There is one fellow who spends a lot of time in our spruce tree, or on our neighbours roof. He yells obcenities at me whenever I walk past him. I'll try to get a shot of him with his beak open, mid-curse and then try again.

Suddenly I can envision you with camera in hand, taunting the raven to cause some excitement. I have faith that you will get your image, but I sure would like to view the process from the porch.

Shawn, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.... I wouldn't taunt him, I might throw him a dead mouse.

Andrea, thanks for looking.

All the best.
