short1 0 Posted June 27, 2008 Although I'm more inclined towards portraiture, I've seen an increasing number of landscapes which I find engaging. I'm a sucker for skyscapes, and this is a beauty. You've captured all the essential elements of a nature untainted by human hands. The setting sun ( presuming you're facing west; if east, the rising sun) is a flame in contrast to the languid cumulus clouds, The absolutely featureless forest, reflected in the water such that the reality and the reflection merge, creates an ominous sense of becoming lost in a threatening wood. The overall ambiance of the study is a contrast between the familiar ( the sun amd sky ), and the unknown (the woods and water). Beautiful....and absorbing. Craig Unger, M.D. Link to comment
