Thank you both for your very kind comments. I had fun playing with this.....thing is, I tried so many different effects, I don't remember which one I ended up with. :) I still prefer 'real' photography, but some digital creations people are doing here on PN are amazing and quite beautiful.

A very successful experiment. I love how the leaves seem iced such that they stand out.

I like the jungle effect, the colours, and different stages of flower development. They seem to pop right out of my screen.

I'm glad you like this, and I appreciate your kind comments. Jeff, I like the 'iced' adjective, and Donna, your description of the 'jungle effect' is very apropos also. Thanks for taking the time to view it and comment. I'll try more experiments like this, but I'm really more of a traditionalist when it comes to photography. But it's so much fun to 'play'! :)

A very well done work on your first digiatal creationove the fuzz looking effect on the flower and grass. Would you share with me how you did this? I have just begun experimenting in Photoshop on this type of digital alteration. Have a few on my portfolio. You have an good eye for beauty!

Thank you ladies! It's fun playing around with new techniques, but I think I'm going to stick to the basics until I get a little better at them. :) Diana, I'll email you with a few ideas, although unfortunately I don't remember what techniques I used on this. (I tried so many things). But Pierre Dumas shared with me a few ideas for how to keep track of what techniques you use on a specific photo. I'll email that to you.

So glad that you stopped by to view my recent posting, "Lily." I have been experiementing with PS-CS2 for several years but I believe that it is like learning Chinese, a life-long process. I think think the key to using the above technique, which may have been the "poster" or "ink" filter, is that you started with a sharp photo with perfect composition, then adding the filter only enhanced the beauty which was already there. So, with such a great start, I hope that you will continue to experiment. Blessings from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Rebekah B.
