pnital 36 Posted June 26, 2008 This scene is the last of the dance " A Secret Garden" ,creation that connect a dance to life ,and for me, has a hint of hope ! Thanks for your thoughts.here . Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted June 26, 2008 This does seem to be a termination. Your dance series has been so compelling because the poses convey such unique twists and turns in human experience. Seeing the scenes frozen in photos probably gives such a different sense than watching the fluidity of the scenes morphing into one another. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted June 26, 2008 Very good series coming to an end with hope for mankind,Pnina.SHALOM! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted June 26, 2008 Jeff, thanks for being the first. It IS a very unique dance creation, and a wonderful soul of the choreographer ( Tamir Ginz) to process such a difficult subject to an art/dance work. So yes, it is a strong experience to see the whole, but dance, the moment it ends, what rest is the memory. The series of stills, chosen carfully can depict the narrative( even in short)of the whole. I hope I did it, at least I have tried. Five of my photos are already the interenet enterance to that dance ( this one included). Tamir ( which is a dancer as well) is the dancer on the R side. Amal, thanks and Shalom to you too, I appreciate your interpretations Link to comment

rogerleekam 0 Posted June 26, 2008 Of the three images the one with the female model appeals to me the most. Possibly in part because I'm male, but for sure also because her whole pose suits the theme of subtle light and dark background - it just is the most evocative and atmospheric. Link to comment

sky blue 0 Posted June 27, 2008 David and Jonathan or the last days... (This was my first thought...) Second thought: I'll always enjoy when Pnina posts more from the ballet, a world unexperienced by me. Final thought: Perhaps this photo leaves me uneasy but many in this series have left me intrigued and facinated with the world that you share. Thank you, ~Sky Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted June 28, 2008 Rueda, for your comments, even I don't read the language I understood it ;-)) Roger, she is very feminin ...;-)) and no wonder you liked it, but I think that in general they all are connected with each other. Sky, thanks for your thoughts. First , good that you are open to experience something that you are not familiar with, and yes, the whole narrative here is thought provoking about human situations, which are not easy to deal with. Your uneasiness tells me that my trying to express the narrative and feeling ,was understood by the viewers that took the time to look at.. Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted June 28, 2008 Congratulations on a successful series handled with your usual skill and charm. As much as I understand the importance of the piece, I do find some of the images a bit unsettling. Many of the scenes seem to illustrate children in pleading, distressful or exploitive situations. I much preferred the silly ironic Chelm series :-)..... and I naturally look forward to whatever surprises you will bring us next. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted June 28, 2008 Thanks, Unsettling is the right definition and explanation to that dance series. After seeing it, you go out with the feeling that you saw real life tragedy of children, performed as a dance. I wanted to express my feelings, and I know that some of the photos are not easy to watch, and maybe the need is to see the whole, to understand the few uploaded here. I agree with you that the Chelm irony is wonderful. and the next "chapter" will deal with more of that " Shell" theatre actors..... Link to comment
armindo_lopes 1 Posted June 29, 2008 Fabulous tones and light. The funny thing is that the floor seems sea water... All the best. Link to comment
