Okay, again, not Arizona ... but the clouds were so pretty and fluffy the other day - I couldn't resist. I have these weekly meetings in Georgetown, and enjoy adding an extra hour or so to my time downtown to take a few shots. (There WILL be more AZ shots eventually....) Your thoughts on this?

Nicely done. A rather familiar scene to us Washingtonians, with your spin on the contrast with the dome and the upper-left cloud makes for an interesting image.

Thank you, gentlemen! Jeff - it was Tuesday evening, about 6:00. Low humidity and no thunderstorms (for once!) - the sky was gorgeous all day and I simply couldn't resist doing a "classic" shot with the clouds as a backdrop. :-D

I like this a lot. The clouds are like planes flying through the scene. I suppose you could dodge the cloud over on the right some more to use it to emphasize the memorial.

This is only a suggestion is for the future. Watch the nose of that cloud on the left. It's too close to the edge of the frame.

Very classic and yet unique with the domes of the clouds relating well with the Memorial's dome. The arrangement of these elements raises the stature of the Memorial's image and importance to a higher level.

Well done.

Stephen

I positively love this image, Lou Ann. It is the best I've seen of this monument and must be one of the top three shots in your portfolio. Congratulations, and thanks for sharing this with us.

Crisp eye popping whites! Very nice, a lot of b/w's come across dull without much punch, but this is the exception.... congrats...LJ

Lou Ann!!! I'm so glad I came across this! A classic monument photographed hundreds of times and you take one of the best photo of this I've ever seen! The tonal range is dynamic, the composition is exceptional and the strength of the Jefferson is well captured! Perfection! Regards, Doug.
