allan kirby 0 Posted June 24, 2008 John, I like the way you often position a model in a doorway to get that slightly darker tone in the background as the light falls off. It sure makes the model pop out nicely. Lighting again is great - she glows. Link to comment
John Peri 1,029 Posted June 24, 2008 Thank you Allan. Indeed, it gives an uneven background which can help to isolate the subject and ocasionally be more interesting than a studio backdrop, especially with a wide open lens, not to kick the excellent work done by others in that area .. maddox 0 Posted June 24, 2008 A positively beautiful portrait, John. I think it's one of your best. There's an intriguing element to it, also... she looks as though she's studying the viewer as much as the viewer is studying her. I think the below-eye-level camera viewpoint adds to this effect. Her arms, hair and fingers all create a swirling and graceful line. I only wish that her fingers on her lower hand had been a little more relaxed on the chair. Great portrait! -Michael Link to comment
JPPhoto1664880217 5 Posted June 24, 2008 This is an excellent dramatic portrait! I am particularly taken with the way contrast is used- the dark background, black chair, and dark dress against the blond hair and skin. Her facial expression and eye contact really complement the dramatic effect. Jim Link to comment

John Peri 1,029 Posted June 25, 2008 I do apologize to everyone. I just realized that I inadvertently placed this in the "nude" section. Force of habit I guess. .. Link to comment

sharshar 0 Posted June 30, 2008 how do you do this? Her expression is bewitching, like she finds her photographer alluring. It is an intimate portrait, not just the gorgeous girl, but whoever she is gazing at too, quite provocative. Link to comment
