gunsmoke 0 Posted June 24, 2008 Hi John, it seems, that you should ask your wife or friends more often! This is quite more than only nice, the colors are great and it looks like, that someone with a good feeling for colors and room was doing this art (don't talk about work in this case). Maybe if you have a chance to do the shot a second time, try to get the tree a little bit more to the left area of the picture instead exactly in the middle. Maybe than the effect increases a little bit (golden cut). Regards and allway enough light for 16-bit-raw, Marcus Link to comment
stephen-whitehead 0 Posted June 24, 2008 This tree's becoming something of a regular, I must have made three or four posts with it in only last week! small world... Magic light, congratulations.... Best regards Stephen Link to comment

suresh randadath 0 Posted June 25, 2008 Great vista! The gracing animals provide scale to the image wonderfully well. Like someone remarked earlier, the tree should have been positioned a bit toward left or right. Link to comment
seungkyelee 0 Posted June 25, 2008 Awesome scenery! Great composition playing the boundaries of perspective and the light is just gorgeous. Great work John. Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted June 26, 2008 Nothing to criticize. I would keep the tree where it is in the frame. It goes with the slope, and fits comfortably in the various "layers". One of your best, keep it up! Cheers,Aaron Link to comment
jana 1 Posted June 26, 2008 very graphical composition, the sky is a great asset. unusual hues and fantastic quality of light, cheers Jana Link to comment
Timo Hartikainen 548 Posted June 26, 2008 Beautiful. There is something on the left edge, but if you crop it, you lose the composition with the tree in the middle of the frame. I think it's good enough this way. Link to comment
fhick 0 Posted June 27, 2008 Great compo, and a so nice lighting, another superb work John; let see more.... Fernand Link to comment
new_zealand_landscapes 0 Posted June 29, 2008 Cleaned the camera and got the bosses advice, I have to be careful she's a psychologist. I have a week to get some more images before the school holidays. Thanks again Link to comment
sonneland 0 Posted July 14, 2008 John, yes this is a lovely image, have also enjoyed going through your portfolio as am familiar with a lot of your locations. Also think you could find some pretty inspiring locations here in the Marlborough Sounds. Anyway keep shooting! All the best........roger Link to comment
newfocus 0 Posted July 17, 2008 Very eye-catching and unusual, and I like the inclusion of the cattle at the bottom - it adds scale and gives it a slightly surreal atmosphere. Link to comment
