rock bass

I'm way too much of a wimp to like to see the demise of any animal (with the exception of flies, cockroaches and mosquitoes), so I'm not crazy about the subject matter, but I do think that it works well as a photograph, and think you've done a marvelous job of color control and sharpness. Very good work.

Thank you! I released this little fish alive and well after I took this shot, but the eagles and ospreys might not be so kind:-)

Thank you, Gail! It's a rock bass and I'm not sure if it fits into the large mouth side of the species. But, these are nuisance fish on our lake and I'd much rather be holding a rainbow trout or a northern pike!
