sambal 0 Posted June 23, 2008 Samrat, the background is a wee bit too unsharp for my taste. That's my two cents;-) Cheers, Sam. Link to comment
samrat 1 Posted June 23, 2008 I blurred out the background that bit to avoid distraction by the figures there...one almost wants to proceed to the centre of the frame...lol. Link to comment
richterjw 1 Posted June 23, 2008 I like the idea of the photo, but I think there is too much dead space to the right and at the top of the photo. I took the liberty (hope you don't mind) of cropping to what I think is a little more effective by lessening the amount of unnecessary space. Best, JR Link to comment
jim craig 0 Posted June 23, 2008 I really like the idea of your photo and the good timing achieved by including both the silhouetted figure and the two people in the distance. Including the people definitely added interest. Intentionally blurred or not though, in my opinion, the composition of the image is designed to direct the viewer to the two distant figures under the tree, partially because it is the brightest and most colorful part of the image, because that part of the scene is naturally framed by the arch and because the leading lines within the archway direct the viewer there. My choice would have been to have them in focus. The shadowy figure in the archway adds enough interest and mystery so as to keep my eyes returning back to that area and moving back and forth between the two subject areas. I agree with Jeremy's crop suggestion. Link to comment
