paolo de faveri 1 Posted June 23, 2008 Hello everyone, these are the falls of the Ribordone stream in Val Chiusella, Piedmont, Italy. I took this picturelast Sunday evening, on a very foggy and somewhat rainy day. This is a stitch of 4 horizontal frames, Your c&c are highly appreciated, thanks for your time. Paolo Details: Eos 400D, Tokina ATX-Pro 12-24 f4, tripod. Link to comment
rbergerud 0 Posted June 23, 2008 I feel that the mist really adds to this photo. The saturation of green is beautiful as well alongside the darker browns of the rocks. What focal length did you have your lens set at when you took this shot? It seems like you have a pretty wide angle lens, so I guess it must be a pretty large field of view to have to stitch 4 shots together. Anyways, beautiful shot! Link to comment
paolo de faveri 1 Posted June 23, 2008 Thanks all for commenting on this. Ryder, I had my lens set at its widest end, 12 mm. Yes, the field of view is huge, as I took this picture from the top of this bridge - http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=7423324 - which is very close to the nearest falls. Actually, this picture doesn't cover the field of view of 4 frames, as there's a lot of overlapping. This is necessary to produce a good stitching, showing no perspective unconsistencies. Cheers, Paolo Link to comment
seungkyelee 0 Posted June 25, 2008 Beautiful composition and great exposure revealing all the gorgeous details Paolo! You`ve done a great job on this stitching, especially as done of 4 horisontals.Viewing this is a pure pleasure. Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted July 10, 2008 This is the kind of result that could inspire others to have a go at stitching images. It certainly will encourage me to try this in the near future. Link to comment
