Three identical 90 minute exposures (on film) were scanned and

combined digitally to reduce the amount of grain (remember grain?) and

increase contrast.

I have a poster of the Rosette Nebula that I purchased several years ago at Kitt peak. The creator of the poster would be a tad jealous if they'd seen this wonderful composite. Well done!
