Back to Ruby, Arizona. There was a man who lived on the premises, acting as caretaker. Really, the stories I could tell. If you want to hear them, you'll have to e-mail me and I'll tell you them privately. :-) I tried this in B&W, but I really liked it in color so much better. The only "issue" I have is the white chair in the background. Does it bother you?

In an ideal world it would be nice if it was not but it substracts nothing from the picture and does not bother me. if you click my profile and request the email I woul d be interested in the story behind the picture regards Carl

The white chair and green hose don't hurt the photo at all; they do confine the timeline of when this was taken. Good job managing the bright sun... Mike

Yes, I most certainly DID honk. But ... alas, the rest of the story has elements that I don't think I can post on a public website. (No joke!) I'll have a photo of the caretaker ready to upload in the next couple of days.....

For me, the hose is more distracting than the chair. If not for both, you could convert to b&w or sepia and make this have an "old feel" to it. I'm curious as to the "rest of the story".

i agree with Michael that the white chair and hose place this firmly in the here and now. i always take pleasure in the convergence of past and present. like the others, i am curious about the story, especially after you comment about it not being appropriate for a public website!

Yes - I will definitely send an e-mail with "the story", and maybe even a few photos that I can't post here. I have a few more images from Ruby to post, and then the e-mail will arrive with the whole tale. LOL! Thanks for all of your visits, everyone. This is such a fun shot to look at and remember.....
