This is gorgeous. This reminds me of one of Linda Davidson's recent photos, which has the same color scheme and composition. Nicely done.

I completely agree with Jeff; this is gorgeous! Excellent geometry in the composition; and the exposure is pretty much spot-on. I have no nits on this one. It looks like you're going through some of your older stuff and applying your new-found skills. Good on you! This is well-balanced and captivating. Cheers! Chris

Thanks for your kind comments. I guess it would be kind of hard to take a bad picture of such a glorious place. Fortunately, I'll be back up that way again later in the summer. My daughter married a guy from Calgary, which is only a little over an hour away from here. I'm sad that she'll be living so far away, but hey.....there are certainly worse places to visit! :)

Margaret, just to set the record straight....

My daughter will be living only an hour away from Lake Moraine, but she'll be living a 4-day drive away from us! That's SO far, but we'll at least have this beautiful area to photograph when we visit her.

Your recent comment on one of my photos led me to view your entire portfolio which is outstanding. Every photo is well taken so it was difficult to chose just one on which to comment...then I saw this particular one that definitely attracted me to view more closely. You might call this one "Shades of Blue." To me it has a watercolor-painting effect which usually means that it is going in my "Favorites" folder.
