jeffl7 0 Posted June 20, 2008 This is gorgeous. This reminds me of one of Linda Davidson's recent photos, which has the same color scheme and composition. Nicely done. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted June 24, 2008 I completely agree with Jeff; this is gorgeous! Excellent geometry in the composition; and the exposure is pretty much spot-on. I have no nits on this one. It looks like you're going through some of your older stuff and applying your new-found skills. Good on you! This is well-balanced and captivating. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted June 24, 2008 Thanks for your kind comments. I guess it would be kind of hard to take a bad picture of such a glorious place. Fortunately, I'll be back up that way again later in the summer. My daughter married a guy from Calgary, which is only a little over an hour away from here. I'm sad that she'll be living so far away, but hey.....there are certainly worse places to visit! :) Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted June 25, 2008 Looks familiar! My husband couldn't believe the water up North was really this color. Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted June 25, 2008 Thanks for your comments, ladies. There really is nothing like the color of these glacial lakes. Fortunately for us we'll be heading up that way again at the end of the summer. Link to comment

margaret1 0 Posted June 27, 2008 This is beautiful and does remind me a lot of Alaska. I could not belive the blues we saw while we were there. This is an outstanding shot, Christal! After a while, the hour from your daughter won't seem quite as far away as it does now. :0) Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted June 28, 2008 Thank you all for your positive feedback on this photo. I'm glad you've enjoyed it. Margaret, just to set the record straight.... My daughter will be living only an hour away from Lake Moraine, but she'll be living a 4-day drive away from us! That's SO far, but we'll at least have this beautiful area to photograph when we visit her. Link to comment
mike_van_essen 0 Posted July 19, 2008 Nice shot but this is Lake Louise not Moraine Lake Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted July 19, 2008 OOPS! Thanks, Mike. You're right, of course. I don't know how to change the title of this though. Link to comment
rebekah1 0 Posted April 18, 2009 Your recent comment on one of my photos led me to view your entire portfolio which is outstanding. Every photo is well taken so it was difficult to chose just one on which to comment...then I saw this particular one that definitely attracted me to view more closely. You might call this one "Shades of Blue." To me it has a watercolor-painting effect which usually means that it is going in my "Favorites" folder. I will defintiely return often to check out your recent postings. Blessings from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, USA, Rebekah B. Link to comment
