billkantor 0 Posted June 20, 2008 Hi TIm, I don't personally go for the composite. My first reaction was "Yikes does that sky go with that foreground?" Now this is a personal thing I'll admit so you'll have to be the judge of whether you like it or not. Heck I'm only one person. Don't take my word for it. Others will probably appreciate it more than me. As for the foreground. I think you have really captured a magical mood. I'd like to see it with the sky from the actual exposure. Maybe it's not as spectacular but I find the subtle post-sunset palette very mysterious. There is probably more detail in the shadows of the rocks that you can boost a bit to add more interest. As for the sunset. It looks nice and you certainly nailed the exposure. I suspect that the foreground went black in that one. Perhaps two exposures taken within a few seconds and exposed for the foreground/background would have been more effective for me. Hope this helps, Bill Link to comment
