The Dead Sea viewed from the ruins of the ancient Masada fortress in

Israel. The shores of the sea are receding every year now creating many

fingers and peninsulas on the sea.

GungaJim, shrinking or not, you made the most of it. There is some incredible history in that part of the world and I would like to visit one day.

 

Just thinking, I know you have Sony, but the sort of shots you make, low light capability like a Nikon D700 would lift you to another world.

 

Then you may not think of your self as more of a writer once you see what this tool could do in your hands during your travels. The photographs my convince you that you are both.
