jlineen 5,676 Posted June 17, 2008 Re-post with lightened foreground. I posted this yesterday, feedback suggested lightening the foreground. An improvement? Thanks for looking. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted June 17, 2008 Well, I certainly like this; but can't say that I saw the prior version. This is an incredibly surrealistic landscape with some pretty terrific light and color. Excellent comp, James; and thanks for sharing. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
naturegirl99 0 Posted June 17, 2008 I didn't see this yesterday, either, but I took a peek at your portfolio and compared both versions. This certainly captures some foreground detail, BUT now the sky is a bit washed out--I already miss those saturated colours! I think I like the former version better. Just my humble opinion. jeffsoo 0 Posted June 17, 2008 While I agree that the first (darker) of these could use some lightening of the foreground, I also agree with the above post that this version has sacrificed the beautiful sky to achieve this. Also I think you have pushed the foreground a little too far; the tones now look a bit harsh. This capture cries out for the use of either subtle HDR or layers/masking (my preference) to get both areas just right. Link to comment
jlineen 5,676 Posted June 17, 2008 Thanks for the detailed critique. Back to the drawing board to get a better balance. Link to comment
alextremps 0 Posted June 19, 2008 awesome!! what a landscape, where it is??? I think it's better to look for another compo to not superpose any rock. Link to comment
