paolo de faveri 1 Posted June 18, 2008 Wow David, that Ursa Major is killing me, wonderful shot. I'm really happy with the quality my current camera delivers, except for high ISOs. With the 400D is simply impossible to get this picture, as at 1600 ISO the sensor would put in place so many additional stars... that you couldn't tell anymore where the Ursa is :-) I can't wait for Canon to release the new 5D, my credit card is chafing at the bit with impatience. As you're a good chap as well, I would be pleased to honour you with a couple of sevens, but you just anticipated me... How about a bier instead? Cheers, Paolo Link to comment

alextremps 0 Posted June 19, 2008 nice try with the stars. I think the tree needs some light, maybe from a more long exposure or from a lintern. regards!! Link to comment
mike_bonsall 0 Posted July 1, 2008 'clone out the 7-8 brighter stars'??? Please tell me this is a wind up! This has a seriously mysterious tone David. I like it. The gentle curve of the distant ridge is lovely. Would it have been possible to take a slightly lower angle to allow the curve space beneath the tree branches? Mike Link to comment
davidclapp 0 Posted July 2, 2008 Bonsai its you! How you been? Lets clone out the most important astrological feature, ah well each to his own eh! No I couldnt get any lower. The tree is hiding some other bushes and even more fence, so the height was critical to the shot and took some manouevering. I would like to see it higher myself but there we go. Drop me a line some time. Link to comment
