bruckner 518 Posted June 17, 2008 Image of wild cougar at Horse Lk area in the Cariboo. I guess I was not the only one this evening trying to see some new fawns in the area. Link to comment
cphilpott 0 Posted June 17, 2008 How do I rate and critique the shot of a wild cougar? Just to be there and miss the shot would be enough for me. I live in cougar country in California, 20 years, never seen one, neighbor sees one, not me. The open shade feeling here creates a very nice tone with no harsh highlights, good of you to have the model sit in such a comfortable place. Great work with model, angle of head, well done, expression, solid, background, true green. Smile if you want, this is a cool shot and I know I would be fumbling with the equipment and miss the whole thing. Link to comment
matman1975 0 Posted June 17, 2008 Lovely shot George, the color range makes this image very compelling, not to mention the fact that you managed to take a shot of a very elusive creature.Well done, greetings from Greece Link to comment
curtis_richter 0 Posted June 17, 2008 Beautiful, FORTUNATE shot! Aside from just being able to take a shot of one in the wild, I like the framing - I also enjoy the peaceful yet powerful look on the Lion's (we call them Mt. Lions here in CO) face. Well done! Link to comment
bruckner 518 Posted June 17, 2008 Thanks Craig, I did some fumbling with the camera settings from the excitement before I settled down and made my camera adjustments. It only took me 30 years to get this image and the other one I posted. Link to comment
c brake 0 Posted June 18, 2008 This is an excellent image in just about every way. I just wish you could have zoomed in closer on him, and I like it cropped a bit from the top. What a beautiful creature! And you've done him justice. Link to comment
