I like this simply for the not-so-obvious (maybe) between the life of the tree and that of the rusty can. They have a common hardship in an abstract way. I do not think at first glance that most will see this connection at least as an artistic piece alone - but along with an expose or social comment on polution - it would be a nice compliment. If that makes sense? J

thanks Jennifer and you are completely right about the theme of the photo. it is the contrast between the destruction of the nature and pollution.
