andre_mcnichols 0 Posted June 12, 2008 Looks like a warbling vireo (vireo melodieux) to me. If that's the case the song should be pretty similar to that of the purple finch... I've seen a lot of them in the spring but they certainly don't come to my backyard! You've got good detail here, they usually perch too high to get a good shot and they're pretty small birds. Cropping's a bit tight for my taste but then I've never won any award for composition... Andre Link to comment

soniam 6 Posted June 12, 2008 Thank you Pierre, Jeffrey and Bob. I have a local bird book at home but was not able to find this guy in it. With your suggestions I will be able to narrow my search.
