Shot with grainy film and window light. Is she really sleeping? Or

posing... I'll never tell

I love the warmth and texture of this "old grainy picture" - it has so much character - rather like the guest bedroom at grandmother's house - there is something timeless and compelling and soothing about this photo. It is not just the innocent beauty resident in a child - it is the whole of the composition, from the light to the color to the softness to the subject - (and I don't think she's sleeping - her mouth is tense - almost drawn up in a smile - just one mother-of-three's observation).

I do love grain too! She's 18 now ;-)
