rascal64 9 Posted June 11, 2008 Thank you for stopping. Any comments or critiques you have are helpful. If you feel that this image deserves a 3 or less...please leave me a few words too. Link to comment
doug_gentry 0 Posted June 11, 2008 I have a few words for this....WOW...WOW...WOW and one more....WOW!!!! The story book pulls the viewer into the world, and then, greeted by the precociousness of the child within that world, the invitation is complete! Outstanding! Regards, Doug. Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted June 11, 2008 Michael... Rueda...Sarah and Doug....Thank you! Really...the heavy manipulations are quite psychosis inducing. I honestly can't look at these things objectively or I am so busy obsessing on excrutiating minutia that I miss a glaring defect. I appreciate all of you sharing your thoughts. Link to comment
juan-de-santa-anna 0 Posted June 16, 2008 This young child looks like a little you..? I strongly agree with Doug....WOW! This could be a real good stock shot...it can be used for many different things....The composition with it's tilted horizon adds to the pensive moment...The only thing I would try and change is the toning of her arms and a little on her face...I get that look when I over adjust a levels or curves...Looks like what I was known best for in the dark rom...over burning...I feel this is a minor adjustment to an awesome image...This is a keeper ! rascal64 9 Posted June 16, 2008 Thank you Linda and Juan for spending your time with this pic. Juan ...thank you for the suggestions. This illustrative/dragan/whatever look that I am playing with may be old hat to a lot of PNers. But...it is new to me. Finding that fine line between cool and garish is difficult (particularly with the time spent on these images). Hopefully I will find the natural balance as I experiment more. Link to comment

jkilgo 0 Posted June 26, 2008 When I see this portrait it sorta makes me think that this must be how children view their world and how books magically transport them to another time or place. This technique is growing on me...the compositional elements of this image really help pull it off...the perspective, the pointing hand, offset staging, etc. Nicely done. Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted June 26, 2008 Thanks Jeff. That's what I was hoping for. I attached the original for you. I have a ways to go before I really nail the look that I want but in the meantime...the universe throws me a bone. Let me know if you find any Scooby Snacks that you want to share. Link to comment
jkilgo 0 Posted June 26, 2008 Wow!!! Amazing transformation. I got a few PS books recently and have begun poking around with a few things here and there...I'm not bold enough to risk putting anything on PN yet. Its amazing how the experts make things look so easy....by the way I'm watching Scooby Doo with my 4 year old now ;-) Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted June 28, 2008 Oh no...we are channeling Scooby! I wish that more people posted their ps transformations. I think that it would be fun and beneficial....hey maybe I will start a thread. Link to comment
