El, thank you very much!

Tim, amazing that I was just thinking that this would be more appealing to you than flowers! Thanks for the nice comments! This is on the lake in the central UP where I have my cabin. My daughter and I were out canoeing which I have to say is one of my favorite activities. No luck with fishing this past weekend.

Good to hear from you!

Nice composition Richard. I like the texture of the fir branches contrasted with the lines of the boathouse. A very peaceful scene.

Smooth water like this makes me drool...you have captured everything so well...maybe the peak of the roof's reflection could have been added...?

I think I just heard a Loon! You have some beautiful country around you as well...sounds like you make the time to appreciate it as well...! Juan

Thank you very much, Greg!

Juan, Thank you! We also are surrounded by wilderness and the peacefullness here is wonderful. I didn't realize at the time that I missed the peak of the roof reflection on this one, but you're right...it bugged me a little, too!

Dick

Very pleasing - hope you 'worked the scene' with several images - the water reflection has much potential. I might have obtained at least ten images here. I would have returned to it in the early morning and later in the afternoon. Needless to say I am excited by what I see here and you have captured an appealing image.

Beautiful Dick, I love the old wooden browns circled by the green. The reflections are beautiful. It is very well exposed and composed , I wish too that the end of the roof in the water was not cut out. still a very nice old construction and surrounding

Thank you for the comments and suggestions. I did get about 8 shots of this. I was canoeing with my daughter. This is in a small bay on the lake where I have a cabin, so I will be returning to this in different light and different times of day. I wish that I hadn't cut off the roof reflection but I'm sure I'll get another crack at it. I appreciate your interest.

Thank you so much! I'll definitely go back to this and get a shot with the whole roof reflection. I go by this in my canoe almost every weekend.

Man does this look great and it's all down to you. I'm not bothered with that reflected rooftop. Including would be predictable and wouldn't necesarilly make it a better photo.

Guess there is no point in repeating 'wish you got the whole roof.' Looks like the boathouse has seen better days. These shots always make me wonder about the people that used them. beautiful reflection.

Thanks very much, Monte! There is an old cabin behind the boathouse. I also wonder who owned it and what happened to them.
