I notice somebody gave you a 3/3 for this picture. I wonder on what basis - pity he did not say why. (He must either have been a real super pro at portraits or he doesn't know what he is talking about) This picture is very original - (I have not seen anything similar on PNet) - the composition is very nice with the face of the father cropped perfectly and the joy of the kid is portrayed effectively. I like it a lot I think the light on the kids face highlights him against a nicely blurred background. Very good photo!

Thank you very much for your kind words. It's always hard processing a 3, but it's harder still not knowing why something decided that it's a below average photo. I've realized that taking a good portrait is harder than I've thought. To capture a person so that someone who doesn't know him, still feel captivated by the image is a daunting task.

I love this capture--there is nothing like a happy child!
