And ...what a photographer you are!

Judging from your lens, you must have been close to her. I wonder if you asked her permission before taking this photograph. I ask because she looks as if she does not care whether someone is looking at her at that moment, let alone taking a picture... If she made her face like this after giving you a permission to shoot; then I can speculate that she was perhaps thinking about that particular decision :)

Capturing an "expression" on the face of a total foreigner must be very difficult and you seem to have no difficulty at all doing this all the time. Yes, I am being jealous!!!

Your speculation is more interesting than what really happened..... She was not aware. I think she was not even aware of me -her mind is some place else. About any photo I take, -if the person is staring into the lens they know; if not staring into the lens then they don't have a clue. Yes I am so close so how does she not know I am there? She does not know and she does not hear the shutter release. I work it out ahead of time....Do not be jealous.... It is very "nerve racking" (trying on my nerves) for me to do this. Must be an easier way to make a living :-)_.thanks for your comment.

Your question on "permission" started me thinking. I am not sure how to explain photos which are exactly like this even to myself. This photo and ones exactly like it are about her and what is going on in her head when I am not there. If I ask permission or if she just even knows, then it is all gone and I do not have a photo -there is nothing to shoot. You can see it better in her than I can explain. Somehow, Tatjana Adizes (comment above) always sees it. The 3 raters are very stupid and don't see anything :-)

Beautiful capture you got at the bus stop. Thanks for your comments on my photo (Bugio). It is not easy to get good tone on Back & White because sometimes it looks too much artificial. I am processing at the CS3 and it becomes easier. Best regards, Chico do Vale.

in some photo's everything comes together and this is one of them for all the reasons mentioned. I also like how her bandana works beautifully against that background. I see no need to comment on your b&w because it's up to its usual standards.
