hanna_cowpe 0 Posted June 9, 2008 The Peahen, not as flamboyant as her partner but a nice contrast to the poppies I thought. Link to comment
jim craig 0 Posted June 11, 2008 An unattractive looking bird, her appearance enhanced by the lush green foliage and the exciting red of the poppies. The windswept lean of the poppies, even the fact she is looking to the upper left gives a nice diagonal left to right flow. What would be an over balance of the red poppies in the left bottom is nicely balanced out, by the yet to bloom poppies in the upper right. You obviously thought out the composition before you took this one, nice work. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted June 11, 2008 Jim, she might seem unattractive to you but I bet the peacocks don't think so. Thanks for the thoughtful critique. Glad you like it. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted June 21, 2008 The poor, humble peahen, forever shadowed by her showier narcissistic male counterparts. Like Jim, I think you've found the beauty in her plainness. Link to comment
