Matt Laur 2,201 Posted June 9, 2008 A young GSP powers through a still pond with the mallard he's retrieving to his handler. Thanks for visiting. Link to comment

samn 16 Posted June 12, 2008 Nice Matt. Perfect DOF. I might be tempted to remove the reflection of the nose? For me it is hard to discern what is going on with that and my eyes fell right to it. I would at least try it. Cheers, Sam Link to comment
Matt Laur 2,201 Posted June 12, 2008 Thanks all. Sam: I've got versions of this without the nose. The slight swell in the placid water - right in front of the "bow wave" the dog is making - causes a really unlikely bit of curved reflection. When I first saw it, I thought, "What the..." but it actually grew on me. It's a reminder of how counter-intuitive reflections in disturbed water can be. It was certainly a new one on me, that's for sure. Seen larger, it's easier to tell what's going on. Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted June 12, 2008 I think it's ridiculous how good you are with these shots. Each new one seems to be better still. Impressive. Link to comment
hansdans 0 Posted February 3, 2010 I like the shot! and once the nose issue is away with larger look one is comfortable with the shot:) Good intensity in the dog's eys makes it perfect. BR Hannu Link to comment
