Flower Compilation

Took a flower picture and a close-up of a blown glass hummingbird feeder and put them together. Does anyone else see a little "bird" on the bottom right? Part of the glass...

This is SO cool, Kim! I love the faint opacity of the textured layer over the flower and the great blending of the colors AND the balance of the composition. You are SO talented!

Good thing u mentioned the birdy, I might have missed it. Really a cool looking image. The swirly colors make for a dreamy backdrop for a flower presented at an unusual angle.

Very nicely done Kim. Really like the blend of the flower image with the great mix of colors and textures of the abstract background. Even the perspective you chose in shooting the flower makes it unique. Yes, that could be a bird!

beautiful ! I find it always a challenge when sandwitching, as for the match - flower versus the background. You did this very well, Kim. It fits perfectly. The background actually enhances the flowers hues ebven more ! cheers Jana

I was going to guess 3 layers, but because it is blown glass that accounts for the extra layer that I thought I saw.

 

In computer software and sometimes in art when the creator adds a little something (such as your birdie) that the user or viewer is supposed to discover, it is referred to as being an "Easter Egg". Except, Kim you are not supposed to tell where the Easter Eggs are hidden. 8~)#

Shawn, the bird is not added - it's part of the blown glass. I discovered it after I posted it.

Very artistic Kim, I like how you did play with layers (I have NO idea how that works) and the result is just beuatifull.... only the frame I would have done different

At first glance I didn't realise this was a compilation, but still spot on colour between the background and the flower and stem. Very eyecatching!
