merhay 0 Posted June 7, 2008 Burnt out highlights in the top left are drawing attention a bit too much. Still, it's a nice shot. Link to comment
leroy laverman 0 Posted June 7, 2008 composition looks good. I agree about the blown region in the ULC. The image also has a strong yellow cast to it. I attempted to change both of these things in the attached. Hope you like it. Link to comment
pankaj purohit 1 Posted June 7, 2008 Nicely captured the flow of the water. Some other friends are talking about the yellow cast, but may be because of light or due to a long time exposure...! Isn;t so? Link to comment
terrygilroy 0 Posted June 7, 2008 Lovely photo, like Leroy's version with water improvement - Come on Leroy tell us how. Link to comment
leroy laverman 0 Posted June 7, 2008 The color cast was changed by using curves (or levels) and selecting the graypoint to be on the water in an area I thought should be neutral. You'll have to experiment a little to find the right spot. The blown region was fixed by using the select color region tool to get all the highlights, then I feathers that selection some and cloned in some of the falls that weren't blown out. That was it. merhay 0 Posted June 7, 2008 Let's just suppose that the yellow cast was on purpouse. If not, well... Fixing the highlights was well done, that alternate version looks exactly how it should. Link to comment
