Nice shot, Pete! Beautiful composition and lighting. The foliage on the right, and the sea, looks unnaturally dark to me. Was it darkened? As was mentioned above, I also like how the lines of composition point towards the lighthouse. The most noticeable lines are those of the horizon and the clouds, but the path, also, contributes. The path might be a tad too bright, in my opinion. I find it competes quite fiercely for my attention.

Much has already been said- the subject here is truly perfectly positioned and links sky, water and land beautifully. The dramatic lean to the grass in foreground adds to the intensity of the scene.
