Taken in Ruby, Arizona - a "ghost town", actually an old abandoned mining town. This slide was behind the old school house. I'll attach another view of it - it was SO tall and steep, even as a brand new slide, I can't imagine that it was safe. It was also difficult to find an angle that worked well for a composition, as even with my wide lens it was so big and the space around it limiting in order to step back and fit the whole thing in. What are your thoughts?

A unique composition that works well here. LOL... a severe case of "rust rear" would certainly result from a slide down this! Good shot.... Mike

that town might have been abandoned as all inhabitants did not survive gliding down that contraption. that's my thought, worth a penny. cheers, sam

I think your view of the old slide is perfect and quite original. I'm not sure I would have thought to do it this way and I'm envious of your visit to the old ghost town.

Ghost town children had the best play equipment. I would slide on this! I think it looks immensely fun. Wonderful composition, I love the trees and dead grass, it makes it look like a ghost town, dead and lonely. The flowers and to the photo nicely. I really like this.
